JTC LifeChanging Center Inc. was founded in April of 2003 by Rev. Clinton Hardy to address the needs of the Southeast Community of Newport News, Virginia. An area that is filled with crime, drugs, prostitution, low income single heads of household and person(s) re-entering the community from prison.
Rev. Clinton Hardy was familiar with this community because he has been a devoted member of Antioch Baptist Church (NN, VA) for 20 years. He served as a Deacon and later accepted his calling into the Ministry in June of 2003. He became the Executive Director and Facilitator over JTC LifeChanging Center Inc. where he initially began offering GED Preparatory Classes.
As the success of these classes grew we began to add individual and group counseling for marriage, family, anger management, self esteem and parenting skills. JTC LifeChanging Center became the PIT Stop for people from all walks of life.
The PIT (People in Transition) Stop
JTC LCC became a PIT Stop for those person(s) in transition. Transition could be those persons who:
* Recently released from prison and transitioning back into society
* Those person(s) who recently graduated or are out of school seeking employment
* Those person(s) who were in a relationship and who are now single
